Late Appointments

A client is considered late if they arrive 15 minutes or less after the scheduled time of the appointment. It is not guaranteed that the therapist will still be available after this time. If the therapist is available, it is at their discretion whether to proceed with the appointment. The appointment will end at the scheduled time. The full amount for the scheduled appointment must be paid before the appointment begins.

Missed Appointments

An appointment is considered missed if the client doesn’t show up or arrives more than 15 minutes after the scheduled time of the appointment. Any late/missed appointments will be marked in the client’s record file. One instance is allowed in a six month period. A second instance needs to be paid for before another appointment can be made.

Canceling Appointments

I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone's life. Business meetings, project deadlines, flight delays, car problems, snowstorms and illness are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling an appointment. Appointments that require canceling must be done so with a 24-hour notice. If less then 24 hours notice is given, the appointment is considered missed and the policy above will be followed. The same courtesy will be made to the client. If for some reason the therapist must cancel an appointment, every effort will be made to give the client 24 hour notice. Please make every effort to let me know of an emergency as soon as possible.

Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other clients, PLEASE plan accordingly and be on time. No matter what the circumstance--a phone call is always appreciated!

Scheduling Appointments

Appointments must have a confirmation. Immediate confirmation is given over the phone. For appointments made electronically (via email); a confirmation is needed to be assured the appointment is scheduled. Without confirmation you are not guaranteed an appointment.

You may not "split" an appointment between 2 separate clients. Two different clients must schedule 2 separate appointments. Time must be allowed between appointments for cleaning the table, the room and for the client to dress.

Payment for services is due in full BEFORE the appointment begins. Accepted forms of payment are cash, VISA and Mastercard.

Gift Certificates

Original gift certificates must be presented at the time of payment. Gift Certificates are sold for services in full only and not redeemable as any dollar amount. Unfortunately, coupons may not be used for purchasing Gift Certificates.

Refer A Friend Program

Refer a Friend Program is for when a current client refers a new paying client for services.

Once your friend comes in and pays for their massage session, I will send you a $10 gift certificate towards your next massage. Your friend must mention your name when either scheduling the appointment or filling out their new client intake form.

You may use one or more $10 referral gift certificates together when paying for appointment, however, these referral gift certificates may not be combined with any other type of discount or offer.

Unfortunately, $10 off referral gift cards cannot be used for purchasing "Instant Gift Certificates."

Contraindications (Situations where massage is not indicated)

Under certain medical conditions; massage/bodywork may not be advised, for example when a fever is present, indicating an infection. Certain medications may also contraindicate a massage. If a massage could be potentially harmful to a client's condition, the massage therapist has the right to decline to do the massage.

Please respect the professional boundaries that exist between therapist and client. Any comments and /or behaviors that are sexually inappropriate will prompt the therapist to immediately terminate the session and charge in full for that appointment.

For health reasons - please arrive freshly showered after exercising.

I reserve the right to refuse to perform a massage for any hygiene issues including failure to shower after exercising, after swimming in pool or excessive sweating. You will be responsible for full payment of your treatment time if you arrive not in the condition to receive massage.

Right to Refuse

The therapist reserves the right to refuse any potential client for any reason.

Massage for Children/Minors

Any client under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present for the appointment and must have a signed consent form. At the initial appointment, the therapist will go over, with the parent and child in the treatment room, what will go on during the massage and will be able to answer any questions you may have.

Intake Forms

You will be required to complete a Client Intake Form at your first appointment. The form will require contact information as well as a health history. The information acquired from this form will give the therapist what is necessary to set up a client file and to determine that massage is in no way contraindicated for health reason. A valid State or Government Picture ID/Driver's License is required at your first visit with the completion of the Client Intake Form. The information obtained is kept strictly confidential.
